1. Quick Start Circuit

Start Here

A|T Sleep works best when every piece of the sleep circuit is in place: your account, the app, SleepStax, your compatible bed, and at least one supported health source.

A|T accountYour login, profile, and service access.
A|T Sleep appSetup, daily view, alerts, and device cards.
SleepStaxPlugged into the compatible bed pump/controller connection.
Health sourceAltSleep 443, AltSleep 444, Oura, or another approved source.
Sleep historyBaselines, reports, trends, and alerts improve over time.
Create or sign in to your A|T Sleep account. Use the same email for the app and the website dashboard.
Complete your profile. Add the health and sleep details requested during onboarding so your reports and thresholds have context.
Set up SleepStax. Plug SleepStax into the compatible Sleep Number bed pump/controller connection, then follow the app setup flow.
Add your health source. Pair AltSleep 443 or AltSleep 444 in the app, or connect Oura from Devices or the website dashboard.
Sleep normally. Wear your ring or keep your connected Oura account active. The app builds your personal baseline over repeated nights.

Important: A|T Sleep does not require a Sleep Number or SleepIQ account. A compatible Sleep Number bed is required only when you want A|T Sleep to control bed pressure or smart inflation.

2. Account And Profile

Personalization

Your account connects the app, website dashboard, SleepStax, wearable sources, Sleep Intelligence, store orders, and support history.

Mobile App

Install the A|T Sleep app and sign in with your account email.
Follow onboarding until your profile, sleep schedule, and device setup steps are complete.
Open the gear icon any time to update your sleep schedule, health profile, alert thresholds, connected sources, and account details.

Website

Sign in with the same account used in the mobile app.
Use the dashboard for sleep history, Sleep Intelligence, Oura, health profile updates, subscription, orders, and store access.

Why the profile questions matter: age, height, weight, sex, medications, symptoms, sleep schedule, and health context help A|T Sleep understand what is normal for you. Better context reduces false alerts, improves reports, and helps the system notice changes that actually matter.

3. Set Up SleepStax

Bed Control

SleepStax lets A|T Sleep control supported bed pressure and smart inflation. It is part of the bed setup circuit and should stay connected to the compatible Sleep Number bed pump/controller connection.

Find the activation code card included with your A|T kit.
Open the A|T Sleep app, go to Devices, tap Add Device, then choose SleepStax.
Enter the activation code when asked. This attaches your SleepStax to your account.
Plug SleepStax into the compatible bed pump/controller connection and power it.
When the app asks you to find your hub, keep your phone close to SleepStax and tap Find My Hub.
Choose your home WiFi network in the setup flow and wait for the app to confirm that SleepStax is online.
Open the Bed tab and test a small pressure change on the correct side.

If SleepStax was already used on another account, contact support before moving it. A|T Sleep only supports registered SleepStax units tied to the correct customer account.

4. Add AltSleep Rings

Health Sources

AltSleep 443 and AltSleep 444 are supported A|T Sleep rings. They can report heart rate, blood oxygen trends, battery, and sleep context when worn correctly.

A|T Sleep device source cards in the mobile app
Device cards help you see which sources are active and where readings are coming from.
A|T Sleep personal baseline view
Personal baselines summarize patterns from your connected sources over time.

Pair A Ring

Charge the ring before first use.
Wear the ring snugly enough that it does not rotate freely, but not so tightly that it affects circulation.
Open the A|T Sleep app and go to Devices.
Tap Add Device, then choose the ring option.
Pick the ring shown in the app. If there are two similar rings, use the last-four suffix shown during setup to tell them apart.
After pairing, rename the source if helpful, such as Phil's AltSleep 443 E15B or Left hand AltSleep 444 44D0.

Wearing Two Rings

A|T Sleep supports multiple active sources. If two rings are fresh and worn, you should see two current source cards. If only one ring is being worn or returning readings, only that one should appear as current. If neither is fresh, the Sleep tab should show historical averages instead of pretending stale readings are live.

Fit matters: different fingers and hands can read differently, especially if circulation differs. Use the same finger consistently when comparing trends.

5. Connect Oura

Oura Integration

Oura can be added as a cloud health source. Oura may require its own account, app, and subscription from Oura. A|T Sleep uses the access you approve to import supported Oura sleep and wellness data into your A|T Sleep history.

Open A|T SleepDevices tab or website dashboard.
Connect OuraStart the secure Oura sign-in flow.
Approve AccessReview the Oura permissions screen.
Return To A|TOura appears as a health source.
Sync HistoryReports and baselines include imported Oura data.

Mobile App Steps

Open the A|T Sleep app and sign in.
Go to Devices, tap Add Device, then tap Connect Oura.
Your browser or Oura app opens. Sign in to your Oura account.
Review the requested access and approve if you want Oura data imported into A|T Sleep.
Return to A|T Sleep. The Devices tab should show Oura under cloud sources.
Allow the first sync to finish. Initial Oura data can take a little time to appear.

Website Steps

Find Integrations, then choose Connect Oura.
Sign in to Oura, approve access, and return to the dashboard.
Confirm the dashboard shows Oura as connected or waiting for first sync.

To stop using Oura, open Devices or the dashboard integration area and move the Oura source to the Junk Drawer. Historical data remains part of your history unless a formal deletion request is completed.

6. Bed Controls

Comfort

Use the Bed tab for left and right pressure adjustments.
A|T Sleep leak and support tools
Leak support and smart inflation tools help keep the bed at the right comfort level.

Set Bed Pressure

Open the Bed tab in the app.
Choose the correct side of the bed.
Use the pressure controls to set your desired number from 0 to 100.
Wait for the bed to finish changing before sending another command.

Smart Inflation

Smart inflation helps maintain your comfort setting over time. Use it when your bed slowly loses firmness or when you want A|T Sleep to keep your side closer to your preferred pressure during the night.

Open the Bed tab or the leak/smart inflation area.
Set your target pressure for each side.
Choose when A|T Sleep should check and adjust.
Review the next morning to confirm the bed stayed comfortable.

7. Sleep Tab

Daily Review
Illustrative A|T Sleep tab summary showing 7 hours and 30 minutes
Example only: the Sleep tab summarizes last night, current health sources, wake events, and baselines.

Current Source Cards

Current source cards show health sources that have returned fresh data recently. You may see one ring, two rings, Oura, or historical averages depending on what is active and fresh.

Correct Last Night's Sleep Range

Open the Sleep tab.
Find Last Night's Sleep.
Tap Correct sleep range or the edit control near the confirmed sleep window.
Adjust bedtime and wake time.
Save the correction and let A|T Sleep recalculate the summary.

Wake Events

Wake events are grouped so one actual wake-up should not become a pile of repeated alerts. If the app asks you to classify an event, choose the closest label, such as bathroom or turning. Your answers teach A|T Sleep what your normal night looks like.

Naps

Use Take a Nap when you are starting a nap, or Report Nap if you forgot to start one. Naps are kept separate from overnight sleep so your nightly report stays clean.

8. Sleep Intelligence

Reports

Sleep Intelligence turns your sleep history, health sources, wake events, symptoms, and profile into plain-language wellness insights. It is designed to help you understand patterns, not diagnose medical conditions.

Wear your health source consistently for at least two weeks so A|T Sleep has enough data for meaningful comparisons.
Answer profile questions and symptom prompts honestly.
Review reports in the Sleep tab or the website dashboard.
When a report mentions an unusual event, check the date, time, and value shown in the report or chart.
Use the report as a wellness conversation starter, not as a diagnosis.

Symptom Context

If you were sick, had surgery, felt unusually stressed, traveled, or slept somewhere unusual, record that context. If A|T Sleep asks and you are fine, mark that you are fine. This helps prevent a one-day event from polluting future reports.

A|T Sleep is not an emergency alert system. If you feel chest pain, severe shortness of breath, faintness, confusion, or any medical emergency, call emergency services or contact a qualified medical professional immediately.

9. Sources, Accuracy, And Junk Drawer

Data Provenance

A source is anything that contributes sleep, health, bed, or activity data to your account. A|T Sleep keeps source history attached so old readings remain useful even after a device is retired.

SourceAccuracy ClassWhat It Helps With
AltSleep 443★★★☆☆ GoodHeart rate trends, SpO2 spot trends, sleep context, and source cards.
AltSleep 444★★★☆☆ GoodHeart rate trends, SpO2 spot trends, motion-assisted sleep context, and source cards.
OuraUntested by A|T Sleep LabsThird-party sleep and wellness data imported from your Oura account.
SleepStaxBed control sourceBed pressure, smart inflation, leak support, and bed-side setup.

Junk Drawer

The Junk Drawer is an archive for sources you are not actively using. Throwing a source in the Junk Drawer keeps your history intact. Restoring a source brings it back into the active area if you use it again.

Open Devices.
Tap the source menu.
Choose Throw this in the Junk Drawer? when you want it out of the active list.
Open the Junk Drawer later and choose Use this again? to restore it.

10. Add A Spouse Or Partner

Household

Two sleepers should have separate profiles and separate health sources. This keeps baselines, alerts, sleep reports, and bed-side preferences from mixing together.

Make sure your kit or service plan supports two sleepers or a partner add-on.
In the app or dashboard, open account or household settings. If the partner option is available, choose Add Partner.
Invite your spouse or partner with their own email address, or contact support if the partner option is not visible yet.
Have the partner complete their own profile and connect their own ring or Oura account.
Assign each sleeper to the correct side of the bed for pressure and sleep context.

Do not share one ring between people without archiving the old source and setting it up intentionally for the new person. Shared sources can contaminate both users' baselines.

11. Activity And Wellness Trends

Daytime Context
A|T Sleep activity screen
Activity trends help explain why a night may look better or worse than usual.

The Activity tab helps connect daytime movement and sleep quality. When the app requests activity permission, approving it lets A|T Sleep include movement context in reports and trends.

Steps And MovementUseful for understanding unusually active or unusually sedentary days.
Sleep ImpactReports can compare movement, symptoms, bed comfort, and sleep outcomes.
PrivacyActivity data is used for your wellness history and personalized reporting.
ControlYou can review permissions from your phone settings at any time.

12. Alerts And Notifications

Watchful

Alerts notify you when configured wellness thresholds or service conditions need attention. They are meant to keep you informed without making you doubt the system.

Open the app and tap the gear icon.
Find wellness thresholds or alert settings.
Set heart rate high, heart rate low, and SpO2 low thresholds that make sense for you.
Use the Alerts tab to review notifications and history.
If you use care-circle features, add trusted contacts who should receive selected alerts.

Choose thresholds with care. A|T Sleep can show wellness changes, but it is not a substitute for a pulse oximeter, medical monitor, clinician, or emergency service.

14. Troubleshooting

Support

No Current Ring Data

Confirm the ring is charged and worn snugly.
Open Devices and confirm the ring is active, not in the Junk Drawer.
If you wear two rings, confirm both appear as separate sources with different suffixes.
Keep the app open briefly and pull to refresh once. Avoid repeated refreshes while a measurement is already running.
If the ring still does not update, contact support with the ring name and suffix shown in Devices.

SleepStax Is Offline

Confirm SleepStax is powered and plugged into the compatible bed pump/controller connection.
Check that your home WiFi is working.
Open Devices and look at the last-seen time.
Restart SleepStax if the app offers a restart action, or unplug and reconnect power.
If bed pressure still does not respond, contact support with your account email and SleepStax label.

Sleep Time Looks Wrong

Use Correct sleep range on the Sleep tab. A corrected bedtime and wake time teaches the system and prevents a bad night from damaging your baseline.
